To guarantee superb cartridges, samples are removed from the production lines on regular basis throughout the day and are tested for speed, pressure and general performance at our test bed. These tests are also carried out when the load or the powder being used is changed or after any regulation to the machinery. The new RC test bed is homologated and controlled directly by the Italian “Banco Nazionale di Prova” and it is provided with the most sophisticated software fully compliant with C.I.P. rules (Commission Internationale Permanente pour l’Epreuve des Armes à Feu Portatives - Permanent International Commission for Firearms Testing).

The surveyed data relates to time in barrel, ignition delay, pressure, integral pressure curve and speed detected at different distances from the barrel. Checking the pressure curve in real time allows the immediate verification of each cartridge’s correct development. The new software enables us to fully track each production lot and to certify the detecting sensors constant setting conforming to CIP parameters.

Further controls are carried out at RC’s outside testing ground to check the patterns at different distances for both game and sporting cartridges. RC also has a climate cell that reproduces different weather conditions in order to test the cartridge performance in all climates. The cartridges are placed in the cell for 72 hours so they become fully acclimatized before being rigorously tested.

The use of the best quality components available on the international market along with the highly professional work force, able to study the right loading combinations and gauge the tested ballistic data, represent the warranty for the well known RC quality. Last but not least RC takes great care in protecting the environment and pays particular attention to the safety of all their employees during all steps of the manufacturing process.
