Worth the Money?

I have been using the RCBS 10-10 for many a year and yes, their very accurate and will not be selling them off but, their slow. so slow. throw the powder into pan then trickle, then lift pan and put back on to double check. knock the bench and then have to check the zero of them again, i sound like im putting them down but i think their the best in class.

I have used the old Lymans digital scales, but the 30 minute warm up and slow trickle i discounted them as a replacement for the RCBS, That was till i use the Gen6 version of the Lyman scales.

Out the box, didnt bother with the instuctions on assembly as their very straight farward. onto the bench and pulled the film off the screen, this left a funny LCD display but nothing to worry about as after they warmed up it was all nice and clear.
i left them on for 30 minutes or so just as it was first use so i let all the electronics to warm up and stabilise while i full sized and primed a batch of new cases.

Out with the instruction on calibration, very easy and straight forward, placed the little reducing plug on the tube and typed in the throw weight of H414 powder i wanted. I had taken advice from the team at Dauntsey and it was suggested that adding the reducer from the start, and for all powders, was the most accurate.
i was very sceptical on the accuracy on the Lymans Gen6 so for the first 50 loads i checked everyone against the RCBS 10-10. the first 2 were out. 0.2 and 0.1 grain. after that every single one of the 52 loads it poured was on the money.
next 50 loads i tested every so often and all on the money.
now i just check every now and then, pour straight into case, put pan back on the scale and the auto pour kicks in and it runs the next charge. gives just enough time for me to seat bullet check OAL and crimp.

i can load 300 rounds with the lymans in the same time i can do 100 on the RCBS and to the same accuracy. Worth the money? i think so.
