Information
As originally made by Edward N. Spiller and David J. Burr in Atlanta, Georgia from late 1861 to 1864, and supplied under contract to the Confedreate Army, the pistol is of traditional American design.
At first glance the revolver looks quite like a Remington and in fact the design incorporates the solid frame of the Remington with the mechanism of the Colt. Made in quantities of up to 1,000 per month, the pistol was used extensively during the Civil War.
