Performance
Depending on calibre and ammunition type, decibel reduction can range from 22-30 db.
Depending on calibre and bullet weight, recoil reduction can be up to 70%.
Life of the unit is matched to the life of your barrel. It depends on the calibre but we suggest if you are re-barreling your rifle you purchase a new suppressor also.
Our suppressors are virtually maintenance free, however if you can see a carbon build up forming in the bore of the suppressor, you can use your copper bore brush to scrub this away.
Construction
Our suppressors are a monocore design. The internal is constructed from a solid billet of 7075-T651 aluminium from Germany, CNC machined into an intricate style of deflection plates and gas traps.
The threaded section that screws onto your barrel and the muzzle end of the suppressor; are the same piece of material. This is then sleeved with the outer tube manufactured from 2024-T3 aluminium also from Germany, and the over barrel models are fitted with a barrel isolation tube.
All parts are then anodised to either standard or hard face finish with three choices of colour; black, satin silver or olive drab.
This method of construction minimises the number of parts by approximately 80% (when compared to a baffled suppressor) and maintains suppressor bore alignment.
With advanced manufacturing techniques such as these we can afford to fabricate with closer dimensional bore tolerances, offering greater recoil and decibel reduction, while at the same time increasing structural strength but reducing unit weight and muzzle over hang.
Strength through design
When the forward pressure from the gas blast of a gun shot hits a baffle in a baffled suppressor, the forward pressure is transferred to the welds between the baffle and tube, or up the baffle stack to the front cap holding the baffles in.
This pressure attempts to stretch the tube or welds. In time this is where baffled suppressors fail.
With a mono cored suppressor the forward pressure is transferred to the core only. As the core is attached to the muzzle of your rifle and is solid right to the muzzle end of the suppressor, the pressure cannot stretch the tube.
The strength of this desigh has been demonstrated by the Worshipful Company of Gunmakers (London Proof House) who have proofed our Gen 4 308 Win suppressor (only 290 grams) to be suitable on 300 Win Mag with charges 15% over max load.
