Our powders are single-based propellant explosives manufactured from high nitrogen content nitrocellulose which has been properly gelled and stabilised. The product range is comprised of CSB, PSB+ and SSB+ powders. Our traditional PSB+ and modern CSB powder ranges are characterised by their regularity and precision. The new SSB+ powder has been developed specifically for cartridges containing steel shot and excels in the humidity and temperature conditions characteristic of waterfowl hunting.

New to Maxam the SSB150 powder is a single based powder for use with magnum loads. With new loads being formulated for magnum steel and lead, we’re expecting this powder to be suitable for many of the same applications as the CSB0.
